The night sky moves slowly enough that we rarely notice its motion. Photography allows us to see time written across the stars.
A collection of long-exposure photographs exploring the night sky and our place within it. These images combine astronomy and landscape photography to reveal patterns of motion, light, and scale that are invisible to the naked eye. Through careful observation and extended exposure, the camera becomes a tool for visualizing the quiet mechanics of the cosmos. Many of these photographs require technical planning and specialized workflows. In some cases, multiple exposures captured over the course of a night—or several nights—are carefully combined using tools such as Photoshop to create information-rich images, star trails, or time-lapse sequences that reveal the subtle movement of the sky over time.
